Have your own cooking assistant at the end of every day!
The REpack Freezer Bag Cook System, like most Hyperlite Mountain Gear products, offers you an opportunity to simplify and lighten your load. Repackaging dehydrated food into freezer bags is a great way to decrease pack weight, and the amount of space food packets take up. It’s also a chance to modify meals or make your own.
Place the repackaged food bag in the pouch. Add hot water to the meal and take care of other business around camp. REpack serves to keep food warm longer while it rehydrates.

Product Reviews and Questions
It works! Almost too well!
Bought two of these for a 3 day backpacking trip for the GF and I. Bought quart size ziploc bags, divided our backpacking meals and let me tell you, add your hot water, let the air out, seal and then leave in the REpack. REvisit 10 minutes later and I was still baffled at how REhydrated and HOT the meals were. So much so had to let them go longer and take them out so they could cool down! Awesome product and yes while it’s a bit of a steep price, totally worth it!
I really like the idea ..
. It looks lightweight and super convenient and east , but I’m trying to reduce the amount of plastic I use. Repackaging all my food in ziplocks x30 meals for every trip I take, then using those bags to cook my meals (rather than a washable bowl) feels like it’s defeating me in that. Right now I do repackage in compostable bags that I put into heavier freezer bags. Then I can reuse the bags . After cooking in them I couldn’t do that as easily.
I’d love a sustainable solution. I look forward to what you come up with in the future!
Good addition.
Light, the added insulation helps re-hydrate your food more consistently
Very small
The quality of the Repack bag is great. I bought it as a Christmas gift and had hoped they could have just dropped a dehydrated meal in it with no issues, however, it is very small and will not fit a standard dehydrated meal. It will only fit a quart size bag.
Major space and weight savings
Using ziplock freezer bags on a 4 day 3 night trip with my nephew ( 12 years old )I was able to save over a pound just in packaging. Not to mention the room savings.
