    Well-Thought Out, Durable Backpack
I really like how that pack carries. The no-BS style of straps, their placement, and general craftsmanship make me happy to throw on this pack. Good stuff.

    500 Days of Use
Bought in 2016. Light, comfy. So many days ski touring, mountain biking, climbing and traveling. Some small holes from strapping skis to the pack, but overall durability is incredible.

    Ultra light and ultra tough

I have had my porter for several years now and its been the gift that keeps on giving. From the concrete jungles of Tokyo and New york city to the true jungles of Veitnam and Laos this pack has seen it all and is no worse for wear. While I originally bought the pack for shuttling climbing gear to the crag (and still mostly use it for this), it has become indespensible as a travel pack. It fits most airlines' carry on requirements and can be easily rolled up and packed away into bigger duffles if needed. I have loved my Hyperlight pack and it will continue to be my go to pack for all sorts of adventures for years to come.

    my favorite zack

It is easy to carry on your back and is durable without being scratched even when rowing. Since I do alpine climbing, I chose the durable DCF150 black. It looks cool and I like it.

    Just a pack

One of the downsides to this pack is that you will eventually add much more items to it which defeats the purpose of an ultralight. Also I had difficulty finding a comfortable fit for the shoulder straps. Without a real shoulder harness your weight cannot help bit sit a little heavy on the shoulders. I would use this pack for and out and back for a very short loop trip. Some of the more difficult terrains I would suggest a pack with a shoulder harness where the weight pushes pack on the front of the chest.
