Product Reviews and Questions
A little tight
I was surprised other reviewers did not have this problem but when I attached the pod to my pack it pulled the shoulder straps in way too close and caused the straps to dig into my shoulders. Fixed it by adding some cordage to the loops to widen the distance
5 Stars
Exactly what I was looking for!
Waterproof!!!!
I took this to Iceland in May to carry my Canon R5 and lens. It poured rain all day and it kept my camera completely dry as I walked to glaciers, waterfalls, and beaches. I was completely shocked in a good way. I am thinking of buying a second one just in case you stop making them. I bought the Peak Design Slide Lite Camera Strap and connected it to the case. Then wore it around my neck the whole time.
Not 100% waterproof
The lightness is exceptional, as is the space for carrying gear. However... I used the pod to carry 2 cameras during a very rainy day, walking for a few hours outdoors. I did not actually use the cameras outdoors -- I was just carrying them in the pod. I had full confidence in the pod based on reading / looking at a lot of reviews. Given the cost and care needed for camera equipment, I was expecting this to be fully waterproof. I was surprised and a bit dismayed that both my cameras were not dry and some visible water drops/condensation (small) present when I opened the pod when returning indoors. They weren't 'wet' and there was no water inside the pod, but clearly there was minor ingress. Of course, there is always human error one could suggest I didn't fully close the zipper? That being said, the 2 zipper sliders don't appear to completely meet, so there is some potential for water to get in at that intersection. In the future, I will put the equipment in another bag inside the pod to ensure 100% protection. I still like the pod for its other great qualities, but if your equipment is sensitive, do be cautious when in very rainy conditions.
Waterproof!!!
I just took this to Iceland. Had my Canon R5 plus lens in the bag around my neck in pouring rain for three days. It kept my camera completely dry.
